IMPORTANT: takn is an accountability and habit coaching platform. We are not medical providers, clinical supervisors, or healthcare professionals. The services and adherence tracking tools are not intended to replace professional medical advice, clinical diagnostics, or emergency medical systems. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the takn website or mobile application (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not access or use our Services.
2. Use of our Services
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use our Services. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use our Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these terms.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Verification Submissions
Our platform relies on users uploading photo verifications to track adherence and build streaks. You agree that:
- You will not upload fraudulent, abusive, misleading, or deceptive confirmation photos.
- You will not upload any photos that contain graphic, offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content.
- We reserve the right to review confirmation logs and suspend accounts exhibiting patterns of fraudulent usage or term violations.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Certain features of our Services may require paid subscriptions. Subscription fees are processed through respective app stores (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) or our third-party billing providers. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the billing provider's settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
5. Termination & Account Deletion
We reserve the right, without notice and in our sole discretion, to terminate or suspend your right to access or use our Services if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page inside the mobile application or by submitting a request via our Delete Account page.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, takn and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use our Services.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make updates, we will post the revised terms on this page and update the "Last revised" date. Your continued use of our Services after the publication of changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
